OK, nobody has actually asked this question but we wanted to say it anyway.
The aim of Ken TestMan is to provide an affordable and usable test management tool. We're focussing on making this tool as useful to testers as possible.
We're working hard to limit the number of features to make sure that you have the features you need, without swamping you in features you don't want.
With Ken TestMan you get a web based tool that helps you do your job better. It doesn't do everything, but what it does do is useful and usable.
There is a Free version and a Paid for version of Ken TestMan.
There are 2 ways of purchasing Ken TestMan:
The license is per instance, not per user. You can find out more about these options here.
Ken TestMan supports both the MS JET and MS SQL database systems including the free SQL Express versions.
No. Sorry, but it just doesn't makes sense for us at the moment.
There are lots of great reporting tools out there that we couldn't possible compare with. The cost of producing and maintaining this complex code would mean that Ken TestMan would become more expensive.
Our approach has been to stick to what we know. We provide a broad number of real-time reports, charts and tables, and we allow the data to be downloaded in CSV format for off-line processing in the reporting tool of your choice.
Simply let us know and we'll send you a pro-forma invoice with all the details you need to make payment. Once payment has been made we will send you a username, password and accesskey.
The username and password will enable you to access the online support site where you can download the code. You will need the accesskey when configuring Ken TestMan on your server.
You can then continue to use the support site to report any problems or download the latest versions of the application.
This is coming in version 3.8. You can create a test execution, set the start and end dates, and assign it to one of your team. A simple chart allows you to see which tests are scheduled and who they are assigned to.
